Long exposures

Well, the eclipse was happening and I wanted to photograph it, while at the same time a film I really wanted to see at the Big Sky Film Festival was screening, so I compromised and did both! Got out later than I wanted to and the eclipse was already completely covering the moon, and rapidly rising in the sky...so I did some long exposures instead :)

I took this one on top of Whitaker Drive.

A "small" herd of cow elk near Augusta on the Rocky Mountain Front. I later discovered, after hiking a while in someone's cow pasture that these few elk were part of an even larger herd, I stopped counting after 100...

I took this one of the Stimson lumber mill just East of Missoula. Standing here, I heard an owl and a wolf!
